The MP1803A is the successor of the MP1801A 4×1 multiplexer and includes a standard remote control interface and digital display capability. With its 4 channels of parallel data input lines, the MP1803A can multiplex 4 parallel signals up to 10.875 Gbps each and provide a serial data output of up to 43.5 Gbps. Alternatively, operation at higher speeds up to 48 Gbps is possible with the MP1811A multiplexer.

Testing of Electro-Absorbtive (EA) modulators is now easy with the optional 2.6V data output function that allows driving the modulators directly. Additionally, flexible adjustment of the data eye-pattern cross-point is provided which is vital for testing these modulators. Innovation is built into the MP1803A multiplexer providing excellent waveform quality with low jitter and low distortion, all of which are essential for testing signals at ultra-high data rates.

The MP1803A features front panel keys, digital display, and GPIB remote control for easy operation, while its compact size saves on test lab space.

The MP1803A is an integral part of Anritsu’s ME7760B 43.5G BER Test System, providing accurate evaluation and verification of long-haul, extended long-haul, and ultra-long-haul transmission systems, sub-systems, MUX/DEMUX devices, and components. As such, it supports tests for FEC, Non-FEC, and Super FEC rates up to 43.5 Gbps.
